Wednesday

Yesterday was a busy and exciting day at Wapo! On Wednesdays we have several special events planned for kids. After dinner, the counselors had a chance to serve the kids at our annual Servant Fair. The kids are free to go to a number of stations that offer them services such as hair washing, balloon animals, shaving cream hair, caricatures, nail painting, and many more. This event fits perfectly with our theme for the day: He Served, We Serve.

Later in the evening, we had campfire and then we had another specialty worship event called Drawn to the Word. Pastor and Painter Paul Oman comes in each week and depicts a Bible story for kids through painting. While he paints, counselors accompany him with music, dance, and spoken word. It is a great way for campers to experience a variety of ways to bring glory to God. This week he painted the story of Daniel in the Lion’s Den.
