Today was the campers’ last full day here at Wapo and it has definitely been a day to remember. This morning we played one of our craziest field games: Hula Launchers. The kids get to launch balls using a water balloon launcher into a net across the field to earn points for their team.

This afternoon we had our annual beach bash. At the bash kids can participate in various games to win tokens that win them certain prizes, such as sinking their counselor in a canoe and sending their counselor to 30 seconds on the dance floor. Some of the competitions are a belly flop contest, sand castle building contest, and tug of war.

For dinner we had a semi-formal banquet called Fiesta de Wapo. Kids were escorted in and served a delicious taco dinner by their counselors.

What a wonderful week we’ve had together. Though we will be sad to see them go, we are so excited to send these kids out into the world to be the light to the people around them!
