This morning we had our first chapel service. In chapel and Bible studies today the kids are learning about how Jesus’ life on Earth set the perfect example for us to follow.
Before lunch, we played three games for field games! We played Whack ‘Em which is a fun game with swimming noodles. We also plays Exploding Enchiladas which is a game kind of like dodge ball but with a bit of a twist. We also played Nuke ‘Em, which is played at our sand volleyball court.
After lunch, we headed down to the beach to learn the waterfront rules and take swim tests, and then the kids enjoyed some free time before dinner.
After dinner, the campers got a chance to play one of Wapo’s classic games: Capture the Flag. We split all the campers into two teams and they ran around camp trying to find hidden flags without being taken to jail. Everyone had so much fun running around and getting to play a game as a whole camp!
After Capture the Flag, campers spent time at the Canteen and then headed down to our nightly campfire to sing songs and watch their counselors in a funny skit.
Then, the Beta campers (7th-9th graders) got to experience a special worship time which focused on prayer. They were introduced to many unique ways to pray and things to pray about, such as writing letters to God, writing things you are thankful for, and praying for forgiveness.
The campers were then off to end the night with their cabins in a devotional. Hopefully everyone will get a good nights rest and be ready for another fun filled day tomorrow! Check back tomorrow for more updates and pictures!
