Last night was a fairly normal night for us at camp. After free time, we had a spaghetti dinner and then the kids played field games together until canteen time. We played Medic, which is similar to dodge ball, and Mighty Mighty, which is similar to Capture the Flag. What a fun way to get out our energy!
Then, the campers all headed down to the campfire for another night of worship through songs, a skit and a speaker. The Beta campers (7-9th graders) wrapped up the night with the always exciting Wapo Night Game. This year’s theme is Wapo Olympics. The cabins represent various countries and compete in crazy competitions, racing around camp to win medals.
This morning we started once again with a chapel service, where they learned about the ways Jesus served during his time on Earth. They heard through a monologue the story of Jesus washing his disciples’ feet on the night he was betrayed.
The kids are enjoying their free time now. Today’s activities are Beadie Buddies in the Art Shop and a 9 Square Tournament. We love the friendships that camp helps create and grow!
