Day two of our action-packed weekend has begun! Breakfast and chapel started off the day. Our second Bible study covered the story of the disciples getting trapped in a storm. God calmed the seas and led the crew to safety. It’s a great reminder to us that God calms our storms everyday…He just asks us to be still. Our key verse from the study is Mark 4:39 – 41, “Jesus got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, ‘Quiet! Be still!’ Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to them, ‘Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?’
The disciples were terrified and asked each other, ‘Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!'”
After completing Bible study, morning rotations began which included bandana tie-dying at the art shop, a dodge ball-type game called “Gladiator,” the Wapo Shoppo, and the game Gaga. The campers have enjoyed spending time with each other as well as their counselors. Lunch filled our bellies, quiet time is being enjoyed, and beach bash will kick-off shortly! The rest of the day will consist of more games, activities, snacks, and Jesus.
What a beautiful day the Lord has made! Let us rejoice and be glad! God bless!
