Beach Bash was a blast! The kids were able to splash, swim, play tug-of-war, and other beach-friendly games. The weather was beautiful and the water was warm. Afternoon rotations followed Beach Bash. The Canteen, where kids can buy snacks and treats, was a favorite! Other rotations included 9-square, Ships and Sailors, and Medic – a fun dodge ball game!
Our dinner consisted of chicken strips, mashed potatoes, and gravy. The third Bible study of the weekend came from 1 John 4. God perfectly loves us and we should love our neighbors in the same way. The key verse 1 John 4:18 says, “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.”
Counselors and kids geared up for the all-time favorite, and the classic Camp Wapo game of Mighty Mighty Scoop Noodle Challenge! Servant Fair followed where counselors served the kids by painting faces and nails, braiding hair, and many others. Campfire closed out the busy day with songs of praises to our King. The kids enjoyed a post-campfire snack of s’mores and headed off to devotions with their cabins and then to bed.
The Lord blessed us with a beautiful day filled with nothing but sunshine, laughter, and love.
